The victim who was killed during the double shooting that took place on June 22, 2012 in San Francisco was recently identified. The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Tony Harper, 27 years old. Tony, a resident of San Francisco, was shot dead along with another man, in the 100 block of Salinas Avenue.
Police officer Albie Esparza’s statement
According to Albie Esparza, a police officer, the incident took place around 11:30 pm. The other victim still remains unidentified. The police mentioned that he is 23 years old and is currently in a critical condition after being shot in the chest. Police officer Albie Esparza also mentioned that both victims managed to reach San Francisco General Hospital on their own. It was after reaching the hospital, that the first victim Tony Harper was declared dead. San Francisco’s southeastern neighborhoods have recently been reporting an increased number of crimes, he said. Owing to this, the police officials have beefed up patrol specifically in the Bayview area, said Albie Esparza.
Visitacion Valley reports more crime
In neighboring news, two people were killed in Visitacion Valley in two separate shooting incidents. The incidents took place on the 20th of June and the 21st of June respectively. Also reports of another shooting that took place in the same neighborhood, was also made on the 22nd of June. San Francisco continues to report more crime.
A man on the 23rd of June was said to be stabbed. The incident took place during a fight that the victim had with 6 people on the sidewalk. The stabbing took place close to the Civic Center, said Albie Esparza. The incident was reported from the 1100 block of Market Street at 9:20pm. The victim is out of danger as his wounds were not life-threatening.
