A 19 year old San Francisco man, Alphonso Antonio Johnson, was arrested in connection with a murder case. In the crime, which took place a year ago, a Union City man Keith Douglas Hadnot was killed. The accused was presented before Dennis McLaughlin, the Superior Court Judge. Johnson’s attorney, Patrick Hetrick, requested for a speedy trial.
Accused not Granted Bail
Alphonso Antonio Johnson was not granted a bail. He was held in Dublin’s Santa Rita Jail. In addition to murder charges, the accused is also facing allegations for gun enhancement, according to authorities. Johnson has to be present in a federal court on March 16th for preliminary examination.
Keith Douglas Hadnot, once a football star of Milpitas High School, was shot dead on June 14th, 2011. The police was informed about gunfire, following which they reached Contempo Homes and found 34 year old Hadnot lying in the parking space. Contempo Homes is a townhomes complex, close to the Union City-Fremont border. The victim was dead when the police found him. According to a statement given by Irlanda Hadnot, the wife of Keith Douglas Hadnot, neither the victim nor his family members had ever met Antonio Johnson.
Surveillance Video under Review
A surveillance video is being reviewed by attorneys. Authorities stated that the video does not reveal clearly the person who shot Antonio Hadnot. A few minutes before the firing took place, the victim had gone to a store. The victim’s wife stated that the family has suffered a lot due to the sudden death of Antonio Hadnot. The police was praised by the Hadnot family for arresting the suspect.
