Annabel McClellan pled guilty on April 5, 2011 to insider trading after she profited from information she overhead in a phone conversation that her husband made with a business person. She relayed that information to her sister and brother-in-law who own a trading company in London. They have been charged with insider trading by the English authorities. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Francisco is seeking a prison sentence of 10-16 months. Ms. McClellan has agreed to cooperate with the Federal Government in exchange for the lighter sentence. The inside information pertained to the software company Kronos Inc. and Getty Images.
