Are You Being Charged With a Three Strikes Crime?

Under California’s Three Strikes Law, serious and violent crimes count as strikes, and state convictions result in lengthy mandatory prison sentences.

If you have been charged with a Three Strikes crime, you should contact a lawyer immediately. As a California board-certified criminal law specialist, Attorney Christoper F. Morales has the experience and knowledge to help you fight a Three Strikes charge.

In California, for a first strike, you may have to serve 85% of your prison sentence (instead of the normal 50%). If you receive a second strike, your prison sentence automatically doubles, and you must serve at least 80% of the sentence. On the third strike, you may be in prison for the rest of your life, ineligible for parole until you have served at least 25 years of your sentence.

These severe penalties make it essential to have an experienced criminal defense lawyer fighting for you. Depending on the case, Mr. Morales will move to have the charges against you dismissed or reduced. He may also be able to have prior strikes dismissed, resulting in a shorter sentence for you.
